UNBOXING THE LENOVO THINKSTATION P330

The Lenovo Thinkstation P330 is an entry-level workstation that is known for its speed. It is regarded as the cheetah of workstations!

As someone who isn’t techie, when it comes to choosing for computers, the things that I look for are power, speed, connectivity ( I need multiple usb ports and card readers!! Haha) and aesthetics (of course being IG worthy is a must).

For this unboxing, I will let you know some of the features that I find interesting and also things that I understand. For technical specifications, I will be pulling information from the official Lenovo Website to help you know more about this device.

LET'S START UNBOXING

TOWER

A few days ago, I got the Lenovo P330 delivered in our house from Lenovo Philippines. I got 2 boxes delivered, one for the tower (cpu) and another one the monitor. Initially I panicked because I was looking for extra boxes for the mouse and keyboard. But later I learned that they are inside the tower box. Will tell you more about it in a short while.

I opened the box for the Thinkstation P330 Tower first. Inside the box you’ll get the following

• 1 Thinkstation P330 Tower
• 1 USB mouse
• 1 USB keyboard
• 1 Power cord
• 1 USC- C cord
• 2 Display port cable adaptor (I actually don’t know this, at first I thought it was for HDMI, but I was wrong).
• 1 Set Up Guide Document
• 1 Warranty Document

The tower measures 16.5 x 32.8 x 37.6 cm. I like that this tower looks compact. You can actually put in on your work desk beside the monitor and it will not occupy a lot of space. I love how this tower was built and designed. It is simple and clean with a beehive pattern accent (in black). I think this is to allow air circulation inside.

At first glance, I saw several ports in front and at the rear part of the tower.

I can say that seeing then number of ports in this device makes me happy. You can’t get too much ports for someone with cameras, phones and gazillions of external hard drives.

The casing can easily be opened, I tried opening it, but as I don’t know anything about a windows operated CPU, I tried as much as possible to not touch anything inside. I just took a photo to share to you guys.

LCD MONITOR

Now time to unbox the monitor

Inside the box you’ll get:

• 1 power cord
• 1 display cord
• 1 23.8 inches TFT LCD monitor
• 1 base plate
• 1 adjustable support post

It is a 23.8 Inches TFT LCD monitor. The whole frame of the monitor is black. It’s like looking straight at a black mirror.

I love the extra detail at the base of the monitor which seems to be a mobile phone holder. I know we don’t need this, but, I’ll use it anyway.

• 1 Audio line out jack

After unboxing, it’s is time to connect everything and try this beast. The challenge so far was that cable organization. As I’ve been used to using laptops, I wasn’t used to dealing with so many wires, from power cords to the usb powered keyboards and mouse. But, nothing a little cable management can’t handle.

All in all I really like how this Tower + Monitor looks like. It suits a minimalistic work desk which will definitely inspire your creativity.
