The absence of IKEA in the Philippines really creates a feeling of FOMO to most budget decor enthusiasts in the country.
Although there is the promise of (still) building the “biggest” IKEA store in Asia here in the Philippines (fingers cross this 2021), we are still looking for places where we can score those cheap (but trendy) IKEA products here in the Philippines.
As someone who lived outside the Philippines for a decade (whew), I have been used to getting home items from IKEA, as simple as a storage box and even a can opener. Not only that they look cute and aesthetic they are also budget friendly.
Disclaimer: Although I do confess that I use a lot of IKEA products, I still strongly promote on supporting our local artisans and products. If you find a local alternative on products you are looking for and if it fits your budget and style, GOING LOCAL SHOULD COME FIRST! I will be writing about that soon.

Believe it or not, there are many options of how you can get IKEA products here in the Philippines. Whether in-store or online, there’s definitely an option that is most suitable for you. Check out the list below.
IN STORE and READY FOR DELIVERY
SOUTH EAST ASIAN IKEA STORES
OK OK OK . Technically this isn’t in the Philippines, but for me this is still the best option. Whenever I travel to KL, Singapore, Jakarta and Bangkok I always get a necessary pitstop to IKEA. The only challenge is you can only buy stuff that you can carry in your luggage.
I normally go to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia as the airfare is cheaper compared to other SEA countries. I also purchase additional luggage space (via Air Asia) if I know that I am getting more/ and heavy IKEA items to bring back home.
If you are thinking of going on a shopping spree, another option is to have it shipped via sea cargo (this is a cheaper option than purchasing additional KG to your check in luggage)….although you’ll have to wait a month to 45 days with this option.
Note: I used this option before covid 19 pandemic. I was actually supposed to fly to KL to shop on exact day when the first quarantine got imposed. Hopefully we can travel again soon. For the meantime, check out other options below
I guess Furniture Source is one the most prominent and famous IKEA resellers in the Philippines. They are the only one that I know that has real showroom/store that you can actually visit. This is a good option for those who are not familiar with IKEA products and wants to see the item in person first.
I lost count already on how many products I got from them.
You can also purchase items online and you have an option for pick up and delivery.
Price wise, you might find some (if not all) items are marked up (high) compared to actual IKEA prices. But, if you consider shopping, handling and importing the products, I think most of their items are fairly priced.
They also sell other items that are not IKEA. Check out their website for full product list.
Note: Due to covid 19 pandemic, their assembly service is not available.
Another option where you can get IKEA products that are ready for delivery is through Conner Furniture’s online shop.
Although their selections are not as wide as Furniture Source’s you can still find some good IKEA items here. (and sometimes on a discounted price).
FACEBOOK MARKET PLACE
This one is a bit informal but if you are looking for a specific IKEA product, you can first try searching in Facebook. You’ll be surprised that you can get some items for sale (brand new and 2nd hand) in Facebook at are often in good condition and at a discounted price (you can even haggle).
SHOPEE AND LAZADA
I guess it is true that you can get everything in Shopee and Lazada! Yes! Even IKEA products. Simply by typing IKEA in the search button you can easily find tons of IKEA items you can purchase.
One important tip though, you should read the reviews to check out if the item is authentic, good condition and if the seller is legit.
Also, I learned this the hard way, don’t but metallic pendant lights (especially those items packaged without boxes), 90% of the time, you’ll get some dents from shipping and handling, and the process of returning them is a pain. If you are looking to purchase such items, I suggest you get them from Furniture Source and Conner Furniture House as their return policy protects consumers like us.
It is amazing how many accounts in Instagram that are offering pre-order IKEA items. This is a good option if you are willing to wait. Also you’ll have more choices as you are purchasing directly from an IKEA store, you just have to tell them what you want.
What I observe, these pre-order accounts are mostly OFWs who are willing to do the shopping for you and have them shipped to the Philippines via sea cargo.
Here are some of the accounts I found
I preordered some items from them. (when I say some, I almost filled up a full cargo box haha). What I like about them is that they are not fixed with one shop only, they will actually look at several IKEA shops to find that items you are looking for.
Compared to other pre-order / personal shopper accounts, their prices are a bit lower.
I also saw this on IG. What I like about their selections are, you can also pre order big items like chest drawers and cabinets.
As mentioned in their account, most of their items are coming from IKEA UAE.
Probably the biggest Personal IKEA Shopper in IG. With 25.2k (as of this writing) followers, this is the first pre-order account I’ve seen. Just like IKEA MNL, you can also pre order BIG IKEA Items from them. And with a number of good feedbacks, you know that they are very reliable.
CALL A FRIEND
Of course, this one probably is the most economical option. All you need to do is “CALL A FRIEND”. Most of us have friends living abroad, you can ask a friend to shop for you and have it shipped via cargo. With online purchasing options getting more accessible nowadays, you can simply order online via IKEA Website and have your friend ship it to the Philippines or bring them when he/she is going to travel to the Philippines for vacation (if he is generous enough hahaha).
Hoping this list helps! Enjoy shopping and decorating0
